Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking embedded software engineers to develop missile defense software in C/C++ on Linux with RTOS environments. Positions include Gilbert/Chandler, AZ and other locations, requiring on-site work and a Secret/Top Secret clearance.

You will contribute to full software lifecycles, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and solve complex engineering challenges to protect national security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 1)
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 2)
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3)
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4)

Responsibilities

• Object oriented software development in C/C++ in a Linux environment
• Embedded real-time software development, debug and test
• RTOS environments including VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux or other RTOS
• Contribute to full software development lifecycle
• Develop systems for missile defense spacecraft and interceptors
