Job summary

Stack AV is building autonomous driving software and robotics middleware for safety-critical applications. You will design, implement, and optimize high-performance C++ components across Clockwork and StackOS, working with autonomy and cloud teams.

You will contribute to low-latency logging, sensor interfaces, and production-grade testing practices to ensure reliability in real driving and simulation environments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ with multi-threading and memory management.
• Understanding of software life cycle and algorithm design.
• Experience in high-performance, resource-constrained systems.
• Strong POSIX/Linux programming and concurrency knowledge.
• Passion for robust production-grade code.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Experience debugging embedded systems.
• Familiar with Bazel and Boost.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Experience with performance evaluation is highly desired.
• Domain experience in autonomous driving or robotics is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency logging frameworks capable of handling massively parallel data streams.
• Design, development, and implementation of features, interfaces, and optimizations for Clockwork in collaboration with Autonomy, Cloud, and Safety teams.
• Continually identify opportunities for improving performance, reliability, and usability of Clockwork.
• Contribute to prototyping and maintenance of sensor interfaces for the Perception system.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality software through automated testing and code reviews.
