Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. invites undergraduates to join a 12-week Product Internship Program focused on C and embedded Linux. You will help build low-level software for Cisco platforms, applying OS and networking fundamentals while learning DevSecOps practices in a real-world environment.

You will work within high-impact product teams, gaining Python/Bash scripting experience and exposure to automation tools like Jenkins, with mentorship and leadership engagement throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree (Associate or Bachelor's).
• Qualifying education should be in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expected to continue enrollment in degree program following completion of the internship.
• Proficient in C with embedded Linux, demonstrated through at least one academic, personal, or professional project
• Working knowledge of at least two of: operating systems, routing, or networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation or scripting tool: Python, Bash, or Jenkins
• Exposure to DevSecOps workflows or security-focused development practices
