Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks an Electrical/Embedded Design Engineer II to design, develop, test, document, and sustain electronic products from concept to production.

You will work on microprocessor-based design, embedded programming, analog/digital circuits, real-time I/O, and EMI/power supply design, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable products.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3-5 years Embedded programming experience.
• Experience with sensors, wireless, and/or data collection systems.
• Familiarity with communication driver designs such as RS-232/485, USB, or ethernet.
• Ability to support or lead development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-learner with strong drive to research, experiment, and hands-on with projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical design support on projects
• See project electronic designs through ideation to execution
• Responsible for sustainment of products in production
• Product opportunities with Marketing, industry requirements, competitive analysis
• Microprocessor based design, bare metal-based coding, analog and digital circuit design, real time I/O, low-power design, EMI compliance, power supply design
• Documentation, testing and certification in conjunction with manufacturing a new product and supporting production
