Chilldyne, recently integrated into Daikin Applied, seeks a Systems Engineer II in Carlsbad, CA. You will own system architecture, integration, and lifecycle support, coordinating across engineering teams to ensure robust performance of embedded and application software.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience and a degree in aerospace/mechanical/electrical/software engineering (or similar). You’ll work in a hybrid in-office environment with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of work experience in systems engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, designs, integrates, and maintains complex systems and subsystems to meet defined requirements.
• Monitors system behavior to proactively identify issues and optimize performance and stability.
• Root-cause analysis and corrective actions for reliability throughout the lifecycle.
• Contributes to cross-disciplinary teams to document processes and improve engineering practices.
• Leads system-level projects and supports resilience and recovery exercises.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, configures, and documents embedded application software and internal tools.
• Applies programming standards to ensure efficient logic and data manipulation.
• Configures and maintains disk images for embedded servers deployment.
• Communicates with customers, interprets logs, and coordinates with subsystems to resolve issues.
