Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead standardized cooling reference architectures across the data center thermal value chain, from chip to chiller, with direct customer engagement. This senior role blends engineering depth with commercial impact, guiding design standards and influencing solution selection to improve design wins.

Qualifications

• BSc engineering degree required with strong fundamentals in mechanical or electrical domains.
• 10+ years of experience in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience proposing architecture decisions with lifecycle cost and market impact.
• Ability to present technical strategy to executives and stakeholders.
• Experience with formal reference architectures or system design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of standardized cooling reference architectures for AI-focused data centers.
• Define system-level topology across liquid cooling, air cooling, plant design, and heat rejection.
• Architect integrated solutions aligning thermal systems with controls and operations.
• Drive design guardrails, scalability boundaries, and redundancy strategies.
• Support PoC testing, performance benchmarking, and interoperability validation in the CoE Lab in San Diego.
• Lead cross-functional architecture reviews with engineering, product, service, and commercial teams.
• Influence customer design decisions and guide solution alignment for hyperscale and enterprise accounts.
