Andson Biotech Inc. is a biotech startup in Atlanta, GA, seeking a hands-on Embedded Systems Engineer to develop, test, and troubleshoot electronics and firmware for our instruments.

The role spans embedded firmware, PCB-level debugging, communications, and electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate writes C/C++ firmware, works directly with hardware, uses lab equipment to diagnose signals and failures, and troubleshoots motors, sensors, power, and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded systems development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ firmware development for microcontrollers or embedded processors.
• Experience debugging PCBs and hardware boards.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and layouts.
• Familiarity with serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet).
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
• Work with microcontrollers, processors, sensors, and power electronics.
• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for electronic systems.
• Implement and troubleshoot serial interfaces and protocols.
• Develop PC utilities and test tools to communicate with hardware.
• Bring up new circuit boards and perform hardware/firmware integration.
• Debug hardware and firmware using lab equipment.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Document designs, test results, and debugging procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve electronic systems.
