Job summary

Matternet is building autonomous drone networks. An Embedded Systems Engineer will make the boards, sensors, and software on our aircraft and ground stations work together as reliable systems.

You will define interfaces, bring up boards, and prove they work through bench testing, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight tests. You’ll collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Onboard Software teams, learning from senior engineers and growing your scope in a fast-paced environment at our Mountain View

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in embedded systems, hardware/software integration, or test.
• Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.

Responsibilities

• Integrate boards, sensors, actuators, and links into subsystems on aircraft and ground stations.
• Define and document subsystem interfaces and requirements (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, BLE).
• Bring up new boards and write firmware and test code.
• Plan and run subsystem verification, including test plans and sign-off.
• Contribute to component and sensor selection and review schematics.
• Triage issues across hardware, firmware, and comms with cross-functional teams.
