Job summary

BorgWarner Drivetrain & Morse Systems is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test and deploy embedded software for AWD products. You will work with model-based design, autocode generation and embedded C programming within an Automotive SPICE compliant process.

You will join a collaborative team at BorgWarner's Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI, contributing to software requirements, design and verification across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EC/EE required.
• 5+ years embedded software experience in automotive, aerospace, commercial machinery, or rail.
• 5+ years MATLAB/Simulink experience for embedded software in production projects.
• Experience configuring AUTOSAR software stack.
• Experience auto-generating embedded C from model-based designs using Targetlink or MATLAB Embedded Coder.
• Experience with unit testing in MIL/SIL environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and estimate SW development activities and tasks.
• Elicit, analyze, decompose, develop, and manage software requirements.
• Identify and define SW units, document SW Detailed Design.
• Develop software units according to Detailed Design using C, Model-based design, Targetlink.
• Plan, develop, and execute unit and integration tests per project plan.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues encountered.
