Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus in Arden, NC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to advance engine software including power electronics, motors, sensors and ECUs. You will define system requirements and drive engineered software solutions through design, verification, and release.

You will collaborate with global teams, lead software development, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering robust software for automotive applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar field.
• 5 years of experience in software design and development.
• Experience with SW Requirements, Architecture, Design, or Integration & Test.
• Experience with requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of software development processes and tools such as Polarian, Jira, Bitbucket.
• Ability to define software related SYS testing & evaluation.
• Ability to lead SWE development processes.
• Software project management including branch management.

Responsibilities

• Define system level software requirements and specifications for products that meet internal and customer needs.
• Analyze and define System Requirements.
• Support System Development Lead and System Architect.
• Software design and development for owned features.
• Lead multidisciplinary and cross-departmental teams on software projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Interface with Systems Engineering to ensure software requirements are documented and analyzed prior to design and implementation.
• Provide analyses to help identify the best product architecture that meets all technical requirements.
