Job summary

MSA Safety, a global leader in protecting people and assets, seeks a Software Verification and Test Automation Engineer to advance embedded product quality. You will craft verification strategies, develop automated tests, and collaborate across design, development, and testing teams to ensure robust releases.

This Staff III-Principal I role requires deep SDLC knowledge, strong Python scripting, and experience with CI tools, to help deliver safe, reliable products used in critical environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, CS, or related field (ABET-accredited).
• Experience supporting embedded product development.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience developing test cases, harnesses, and scripts.
• Experience with embedded test automation.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies (Unit/Integration/Regression/System/Performance).
• Familiar with Git, Jira, Confluence and CI tools (Bamboo/Jenkins/Travis).
• Security topics experience is a plus.
• Strong communication in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of product behavior to guide testing and decisions.
• Define verification strategies from requirements and architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for embedded software.
• Maintain test automation systems and perform manual testing when needed.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to fix issues.
• Analyze test results and quality data to drive improvements.
• Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
