Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Security Engineer I to implement software security principles for embedded real-time sensor software across development, integration and testing. The role requires C, C++, Python or Perl, RTOS experience, and active DoD Secret clearance and U.S.

citizenship; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, secure development environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, Python and Perl.
• Strong object-oriented design knowledge.
• Active secret-level security clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibility.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and kernel or device-driver development.
• Experience in software integration and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Teamwork and effective communication in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Implement software security principles for embedded real-time sensor software.
• Develop software applications across multiple programming languages.
• Ensure SW Product Assurance processes are followed on programs.
• Apply knowledge of RTOS, kernel or device-driver development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute TDMC-based development.
• Work in a common development environment to enable program capabilities.
