Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Manager Level 2 in Northridge, CA. This onsite role leads a software team supporting advanced programs and requires a Secret clearance to start.

The manager oversees technical deliverables, performance, and staff development, while coordinating with program management to ensure schedule adherence and technical success on complex systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in STEM with 8+ years software experience or M.S. with 6+ years
• Experience in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, embedded software development
• Strong problem solving, root cause analysis and action planning
• Embedded software discipline knowledge with SDLC expertise
• Experience in C++, C#, Python and related languages
• Familiar with Cameo and Atlassian toolset; DOORS experience
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance to start

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software team and provide objective‑oriented guidance
• Oversee day‑to‑day communications, performance reviews and career development
• Direct software activities for advanced weapon programs
• Collaborate with program management and adjacent disciplines
• Support staffing, metrics, and training resources as needed
