Job summary
Inspiren, a growing technology company focused on senior living, seeks an Embedded Software Leader to own the OS and device software across hardware generations. You will supervise updates, rollouts, and telemetry while partnering with Hardware, Firmware, and JDM teams.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in embedded, firmware, edge, or device software, with 2+ years leading a software team.
- Experience hiring, building, and managing teams of embedded or device software engineers.
- Owned OTA, fleet health, and availability for thousands of devices; describe rollout and telemetry.
- Hands-on depth in embedded Linux apps: Yocto/ systemd/ containers on device.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; startup experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define SLOs and telemetry; manage on-call and postmortems.
- Own updates: OTA, staged rollouts, health checks, rollback.
- Own embedded Linux app layer and MCU app logic; decouple from hardware cycles.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, and JDM; ensure actionable firmware.
- Lead org design, hiring, and career growth; set cross-team ownership norms.
- Bring AI into codebase: generated tests, fleet triage, regression analysis.
