Safran DSI Optronics in Bedford, NH is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support the full lifecycle of embedded software for military sensors and laser range-finder systems, from specifications through design, coding and testing.

You will work with C/C++ on Windows platforms, learn to integrate hardware and software, and contribute to software development processes and documentation, while using revision control tools such as SVN and Git.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in CS/CE/Software Eng or related field.
• Proficient in C/C++ on Windows platforms.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software to build complete systems.
• Experience with revision control systems (SVN, Git).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident is required.

Responsabilités

• As part of the Software Engineering team, provide/learn technical expertise in design and development of embedded software for a variety of military sensors and laser range-finder systems
• Support design, code and debug applications in various software languages
• Develop and support Engineering and Configuration Control processes specific to software development, software release revision control, and pre-planned product improvement initiatives
• Support software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis
• Support engineering documents to include SW development plans, SW design documentation, and SW qualification plans/procedures
• Other duties as assigned
