Job summary

Navico Group, a Brunswick division, in Tulsa, OK, seeks Software Engineering Interns to help develop Navico Group’s trolling motors. You will work with the global SW team, fix bugs via Jira, and contribute to software architecture improvements under senior developers.

The internship runs May to August, with potential for part-time work during school terms. You will gain hands-on experience across modules, learning CAN bus, Bluetooth, and network messaging between devices on a boat.

Qualifications

• An engineering student with at least 80 credits toward a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills.
• Embedded development experience.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Mentorship from seasoned Software Engineers.
• Embedded system programming in Navico Group Products.
• Building, testing, and analyzing software.
• Analyzing data sheets by locating and interpreting provided information from manufacturers on electronic components.
• Bug fixing.
• On-water product testing.
• Performing minor modifications to existing HW or new prototype HW bring-up.
