Job summary

Brunswick/Navico Group is seeking an Engineering Test Lab Intern to assist validation activities for products within Navico Group’s portfolio. You will work under Test Engineers and Senior Technicians, applying basic engineering principles to support the test lab and potentially project teams.

The role provides hands-on experience, exposure to test fixtures, documentation, and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Ability to synthesize solutions when inputs are vague.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and shifting priorities.
  • Willing to learn and take initiative.
  • Plan, coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Contribute to decisions affecting corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with validation engineers and cross-functional teams to complete tasks.
  • Understand product requirements and develop validation solutions.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Develop a network of stakeholders across functions.
  • Plan and execute validation activities including fixture design, test scheduling, execution, and reporting.
  • Create validation documents such as test fixtures, procedures, and reports.
  • Learn the product development process and deliverables.
  • Support 5S kaizen and audit processes to maintain safety culture.
