Apex Systems is seeking an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer to design, test, and deploy real-time software for rugged, embedded systems in Atlanta, GA. You will work closely with hardware and systems teams to move designs from concept through deployment on 32-bit MCUs.

Requirements include a relevant bachelor’s (master’s preferred) and hands-on embedded development experience. Knowledge of Ethernet/PCIe, embedded Linux, and MBSE is a plus; open architectures and FPGA exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software/firmware development experience for concept-to-deployment.
• Strong grasp of 32-bit architectures (ARM Cortex-M/A, STM32, ESP32, NXP, TI).

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and develop embedded software and real-time firmware to meet requirements.
• Write, debug, and maintain embedded code interfacing with processors, peripherals and interfaces.
• Develop designs for modern 32-bit MCU/MPU architectures in embedded firmware.
• Collaborate with hardware/systems engineers for integration and bring-up.
• Maintain software, scripts, and documentation for future reviews and enhancements.
• Provide effort estimates and contribute to technical reports and research initiatives.
