Job summary

Apogee Research, LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to lead development of capabilities for national security at the tactical edge, working with military and commercial hardware. The role is full-time in-person with limited travel to support test events.

You will design and develop low-level software in C and C++ across architectures and POSIX OS, debug cyber-physical systems, and collaborate in cross-discipline teams to solve hard problems.

Qualifications

• Experience building low level software that reliably runs in varied environments.
• High proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of buffers, transports, schedulers, and similar low-level constructs.
• Understanding of hardware such as ruggedized compute and hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design and development of low-level software for tactical systems across architectures and POSIX OS.
• Debugging cyber-physical systems with deep software and hardware understanding.
• Supporting demonstration and testing in lab and test events settings.
• Learning new technologies and developing novel approaches as needed.
• Collaborating in cross-discipline teams to solve hard problems.
