Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join on-site a multi-disciplinary team. You will participate in the full software development life cycle from concept through integration and testing on both military and commercial programs.

Proficiency in C++ and real-time systems, plus scripting (Shell/Perl/Python), and ability to work with Systems Engineers to meet end-user and operational needs. A U.S. government security clearance and citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software in C++ or similar languages.
• Experience with scripting languages (Shell/Perl/Python).
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supports all phases of the software development life cycle on military and commercial programs.
• Develops and integrates software with end-user needs and system constraints.
• Collaborates with Systems Engineers to design effective solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Travel may be required occasionally.
