Job summary

Volt is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. The role covers full lifecycle development for embedded devices, collaborating across systems and engineering to deliver robust software solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Graduate degree with relevant experience or a combination of experience in lieu of degree; C++ and Linux RTOS expertise are essential. This is a 12-month full-time contract or contract-to-hire with a secret clearance expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance requirements and interface software and hardware components.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle including design, implementation, and testing.
• Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Peer reviews and defect tracking/repair across the engineering teams.
