Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT for an onsite role focusing on embedded devices and real-time systems. You will work from requirements through production, leading significant features and cross-functional collaborations across the development life cycle.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in a technical field with extensive C++ and RTOS experience, including Linux or VxWorks, multi-threaded programming, and DoD program exposure.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a technical field with 4+ years (MS) or 6+ years (BS) of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in object-oriented development using C++.
• Experience with embedded RTOS and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for embedded devices from requirements through production and support.
• Lead major features and technical execution across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance and interface requirements.
• Support all phases of software development lifecycle, including testing.
• Contribute to test plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Participate in peer reviews and defect tracking.
• Define technical direction for features or subsystems in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Utilize Windows, Linux, and embedded RTOS toolchains.
