Job summary

Amazon Leo Government (ALG) seeks an Device Software Development Engineer to design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems. You will work on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms and collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

This role supports U.S. and allied missions and can sit in Northridge, El Segundo, or Arlington with relocation benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop embedded software for satellite and ground terminal systems.
• Focus on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems and product teams to deliver secure software.
• Leverage Embedded Linux and RTOS frameworks for scalable software.
• Implement data processing, device control, and networking protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
