Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to architect and implement mission-critical software for next-generation UAV flight computers.

You will develop high-performance C and C++ applications that ensure deterministic control, collaborating with hardware and GNC engineers, with MATLAB/Simulink tooling. Hybrid work from Arlington, TX office Tue/Wed/Thu.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of expert real-time C/C++ experience.
• Proficient in debugging multi-process/multi-thread real-time systems.
• Familiar with common communications protocols and networking.
• Experience with Java, C++, or other OO languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test C++ flight software and hardware, sensor integrations.
• Collaborate to decompose system requirements with other engineering disciplines.
• Create software requirements specs, test descriptions, and reports.
• Document software per KUAS specifications.
• Hybrid schedule: work from Arlington, TX office Tue/Wed/Thu.
