Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc.'s KUAS division seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to architect and implement mission-critical software for UAV flight computers. You will bridge flight algorithms with custom avionics hardware, delivering high-performance C and C++ applications that ensure deterministic control.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering, Mathematics, or Science discipline, with appropriate software coursework and/or experience.
• Expert in real-time C and/or C++ programming with 6+ years experience.
• Expert fluency in debugging complex multi-process/multi-thread real-time systems.
• Familiarity with common communications protocols and networking.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests C++ flight software and hardware, sensor, and actuator integrations.
• Analyzes and decomposes system requirements collaboratively with other engineering disciplines.
• Writes software requirements specifications, software test descriptions, design descriptions, and test reports
• Designs, implements, tests, and documents software according to KUAS specifications
• Hybrid, work from office Tue/Wed/Thu in Arlington, TX
