Job summary

Teradyne Memory Test is seeking a Software Engineer in San Jose to contribute across the software lifecycle. You will work on features and libraries that interact with hardware, collaborating with hardware, systems, and QA teams to deliver reliable test software.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree with 0-2 years of experience, strong Windows/Visual Studio skills, and hands-on work with embedded devices (FPGA/ASIC). Relocation is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• BS CS with 0–2 years of experience.
• Experience in C++ with OO design.
• Software that directly interacts with hardware (FPGAs/ASICs).
• Windows experience and Visual Studio proficiency.
• Familiarity with STL and source control (Git).
• Experience reading hardware schematics/design docs.
• Embedded systems software experience.
• Strong collaboration with hardware engineers.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and incorporate them into software.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop programs and libraries.
• Develop and test new features for Memory Test software.
• Sustain and extend existing programs and libraries.
• Engage with Field Applications to improve customer success.
• Collaborate with Software QA to devise test strategies.
