Job summary

ASI, Autonomous Solutions, Inc., is advancing autonomous robotics for agriculture, construction, landscaping, and logistics. The Embedded Engineer IV will own embedded software on our autonomous vehicles, writing production C++ for real-time systems near sensors and actuators and collaborating with perception, guidance, navigation and control teams.

As an Embedded Engineer IV, you will build and own the embedded software that runs ASI's autonomous vehicles. You write production C++ on real-time and embedded systems, close to the sensors, actuators, and compute our machines depend on. Your focus is embedded, and you also work across adjacent software domains like perception and guidance, navigation, and control as the work demands. You validate your software on real hardware in the lab and in the field, set technical direction, and mentor other engineers. You work on the Advanced Prototype team, where the systems are early enough that you shape how they work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer workstation for extended periods.

• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment continuously.

• Ability to communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and through electronic means.

• Ability to traverse office, lab, data center, and field environments as required.

• Ability to work in lab, prototype, and outdoor field environments around vehicles and equipment.
