Job summary

MAHLE North American Electrical Engineering Organization seeks an internship candidate to collaborate on embedded software development and GUI tools for automotive applications in Lockport, NY. You will contribute to software creation, debugging, testing, and documentation on both embedded Linux and PC platforms.

We welcome applicants with a B.E. in Computer Engineering or related field, strong C and embedded programming skills, exposure to MATLAB/Simulink, and familiarity with Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong C and embedded software development skills.
• Experience with GUI programming and Git version control.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a plus.

Your Contribution

This position is within the MAHLE North American Electrical Engineering Organization. The group is responsible for the interface between the customer and the electrical component suppliers from Acquisition to Series Production

This role is responsible to:

• Create / co-develop embedded software andin-house software tools
• Support development of GUI programs on embedded LINUX touch screens as well on PC depending on project needs
• Debug software
• Test software
• Document software related activities
• Specific items will be dependent on active project needs.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors of Engineering
  Computer Engineering (leaning towards software), Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Skills (i.e., CAD):
• C programming
• Embedded programming
• MatLab/Simulink
• GUI Programming
• Git
• Control theory
• Previous internship not necessary but a plus
• Extra-curricular engineering clubs or hobbies are a plus
