Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Minneapolis to design and implement software for high-resolution print controllers and printheads. You will work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to define requirements and ensure software compatibility with hardware designs.

The role requires 4+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, embedded Linux, and real-time operating systems, with hands-on development and troubleshooting experience across 32/64-bit MCUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing embedded software.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, Linux and RTOS.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement embedded software for print controllers and printheads.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software requirements.
• Ensure software compatibility with hardware designs.
• Write modular, well-documented code and perform unit testing.
• Debug and optimize software; support verification and validation.
• Contribute to documentation and maintenance; provide support as needed.
• Participate in code/design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
