SEAKR Engineering in Centennial, Colorado, is seeking a junior to mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to space-grade electronics. You will work closely with senior engineers to build robust embedded software in C/C++, focusing on constrained environments and real-time challenges.

The role emphasizes learning our product deeply, integrating networking features, and applying OS concepts such as scheduling and synchronization.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of OS concepts (kernel vs user space, task scheduling, memory management, synchronization).
• Proficiency in Python, C and/or C++, including OO principles.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, MAC addresses, packet inspection tools.
• Ability to solve problems independently within assigned tasks.
• Ability to learn from specification documents and adapt to new protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software using C/C++ within constrained environments.
• Implement state machines and handle asynchronous events (interrupts, signals).
• Work with OS concepts including scheduling, resource sharing, and synchronization.
• Integrate networking capabilities into embedded devices (basic IP/MAC layer knowledge).
