Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Software Engineer II for an onsite role in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will design, develop, integrate, and verify embedded software across hardware, systems, and FPGA domains, collaborating with hardware teams to meet mission needs.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, security clearance eligibility, and proficiency in C/C++, Rust, and Python in embedded environments. Onsite work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Comfortable working with C, C++, Rust, python and/or Linux
• Some experience coding in an embedded environment
• Security focused mindset
• Familiar with multi-threaded and object oriented development
• Familiar with the basics of asymmetric and symmetric encryption
