Job summary

Garmin International in the U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a Software Engineer 2.

You will develop moderately complex software and create designs for small sets of new functionalities for Garmin products and applications. Responsibilities include design and coding in C/C++, collaboration on peer code reviews, mentoring Software Engineer I, and solving problems with systematic debugging and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 1 year relevant experience or equivalent
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Proficient in developing moderately complex software in C, C++ and assembly
• Proficient with software engineering tools (CM, build, debuggers, emulators, simulators, logic analyzers)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement small sets of new functionalities for Garmin products/systems
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide feedback
• Mentor Software Engineer I and assist with design reviews
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Explore new technologies and contribute to technical research
