Job summary

Rivian Volkswagen Technologies Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to implement and validate software for battery and energy management systems across low and high voltage platforms. You will contribute to scalable architectures, write automated tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent engineering or sciences.
• 2+ years’ experience in embedded programming in C or C++
• Proficient in test driven development with developer driven coverage from different test targets (HIL/SIL/Unit).
• 1+ years' experience developing code for low or high voltage components in an integrated system.

Responsibilities

• Implement and validate embedded software for battery and energy management systems.
• Develop features for low/high voltage systems: power and current distribution, DC/DC, fault detection and recovery, range estimation, battery thermal controls and state estimations.
• Design scalable software with a focus on embedded system reliability and performance.
• Write automated tests for software components, using unit, SIL/HIL.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback for high-quality solutions.
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure safety and reliability compliance for respective features.
• Support technical meetings with peers to review feature design and performance.
