Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is looking for an Energy Management Systems Engineer to join their Irvine team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing low-voltage power systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality and functionality.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in a related engineering field and has experience with safety-critical systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $135.1K to $168.9K along with performance bonuses and equity eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• Experience managing safety-critical systems.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition and decomposition of low-voltage systems.
• Drive implementation from ideation to public release.
• Support vehicle architecture development through analysis.
• Develop and document functional requirements.
• Create test requirements for battery system characterization.
• Participate in integration activities for features.
• Coordinate system delivery and timing for milestones.
• Work with engineers to conduct validation tests.
