Job summary

Deep Sea Electronics Ltd is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and deliver real‑time control software for industrial control systems. You will work on RTOS, PID algorithms, and communications protocols, and contribute across the product lifecycle from requirements to field support.

The role requires a BEng or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, hands‑on coding in C/C++, and experience with safety standards (IEC 61508/62061).

Qualifications

• Experience with IEC 61508/62061 safety concepts and verification.
• Embedded C/C++ with RTOS in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C/C++ software for embedded devices (bare‑metal and RTOS).
• 0Develop real‑time control algorithms for sensors, actuators and power systems.
• 0Create work packages and manage execution in Jira.
• 0Integrate with PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.
• 0Implement and validate protocols: Modbus, CANopen/J1939, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA.
• 0Apply safety practices per IEC 61508/62061 and produce verification evidence.
• 0Contribute to software quality through MISRA C/C++, static analysis, reviews, tests.
• 0Write and maintain design docs, interface specs, test plans, safety artefacts.
• 0Collaborate with electronics, cybersecurity and product management.
• 0Provide mentoring and contribute to continuous improvement.
