Job description

Embedded Software Engineer-Avionics Flight Controls Electronics

• Contract

This position involves design, code, unit test and verification of Software for Flight Controls Electronics (FCE) projects on various aircraft. Candidate will have knowledge of all phases of avionics application software development, including requirements definition, code generation, hardware/software integration, planning and tracking of tasks, model-based development environments and other embedded software development activities.

Good written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with peers, third party suppliers, global resources, and systems engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• Must have minimum seven years experience in embedded software development

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• ANSI C coding, testing and integration experience.
• Demonstrated experience working as a member of a team, as well as experience leading small groups.
• Ability to adapt well to a changing environment.
• Experience with standard avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429 & 664) and Real Time Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with RTCA/DO-178 B procedures and methodology or equivalent MIL-STD.
• Proficient in use of test equipment/software for debugging/troubleshooting flight software related issues in a lab environment.
