Overview
-8 months plus contract with possibility of going direct after • Pay 55-62$/hour
Responsibilities
Able to understand technical aspects of software development and V&V within an avionics environment. Has working knowledge of DO-178B software development and test processes. Able to breakdown complex problems into simple solutions and has experience with accurately estimating project work.
Organizational Ability: Able to establish plans of action for multiple programs, distribute work to others and ensure all work is completed on schedule. Capable of scheduling own work and the work of others; follows up promptly when actions are given.
Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and concisely with co-workers so assignments are understood; periodically follows up to ensure understanding. Strong writing and documentation skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in an engineering or science discipline
US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
Additional Qualifications:
Real time embedded software development experience
Avionic flight controls experience
Strong background in use of computers (e.g., VAX, PC) and exposure to: Matlab, Mode Logic Design, Assembly language programming, C/C++ programming, digital flight testing systems (DFTS), PVCS/Visual Source Safe (Configuration Management Systems), test interface hardware (EPIC TIU), scripted autotesting language/systems (EPIC TATs), requirements traceability, software structural coverage, and code instrumentation
A basic understanding of project management; MS Project and BRGA Processes are preferred
