Job description

Flight/Embedded Software Engineer | Embedded C++ | Space
Want to build software that actually flies?
Looking for genuine greenfield development rather than maintaining legacy code?
Interested in joining one of the fastest-growing engineering teams in the commercial space sector?

Join a company developing first-of-their-kind in-space transportation technology, helping shape the future of commercial spaceflight.

This isn't your typical space startup. They're already valued in the multi-billions, have multiple successful spacecraft missions under their belt, and have recently secured another $1B+ in funding to accelerate the next generation of spacecraft and continue investing heavily in world-class engineering talent.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you'll develop mission-critical Embedded C++ software that runs directly on the spacecraft, owning features from architecture and development through hardware integration, launch, and on-orbit mission operations. Around 80% of the work is greenfield, giving engineers genuine ownership while working alongside some of the industry's best talent.

Candidates from space, aerospace, defence, robotics, autonomous vehicles, telecommunications, industrial automation, medical devices, and other real-time embedded environments are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do as an Embedded Software Engineer:
  • Develop Embedded C++ software for next-generation spacecraft.
  • Own software throughout the full development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with GNC, Avionics, Propulsion, RF and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Support hardware integration, verification, validation and mission operations.
  • Solve complex real-time embedded software challenges using cutting-edge technology.
The ideal Embedded Software Engineer Bring :
  • Embedded Linux / C++ development experience.
  • RTOS or real-time embedded systems experience.
  • Strong debugging and hardware/software integration skills.
  • Experience developing complex embedded products such as Space vehicles , eVTOL platforms, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other safety-critical embedded systems
Why Join as a Flight/Embedded Software Engineer?
  • Genuine end-to-end ownership with 80% greenfield development.
  • Work alongside engineers from some of the world's leading aerospace companies.
  • Multi-billion-dollar business with significant funding behind its long-term roadmap.

Compensation: $170k-$280k base (DOE) (some flexibility for exceptional candidates) + annual cash bonus + pre-IPO equity. Total compensation at the top end is expected to exceed $300k-$400k+, alongside an outstanding benefits package.
