Job summary

Brahma Consulting Group in New York is seeking its first full-time embedded software engineer to drive development of our robot software. You will contribute to delivering real-time capabilities, reliability logs, and a robust field-to-cloud data pipeline.

You will work with Linux, Python, C++, and ROS2 to upgrade operating systems, deploy fleet updates, and support hardware evolutions such as new sensors. This role offers hands-on impact across product readiness and operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Real-time on-device capabilities to improve operator experience and speed for storm-response use cases.
• Improve robot reliability with logs and diagnostics at scale.
• Optimize field-to-cloud data pipeline for a large user base and faster turn-around.
• Develop core robot software, upgrading OS and fleet deployment.
• Support hardware evolution with new sensors integration.

Job description

As our first full time embedded software engineer you will drive development of our robot software. In this role you will contribute to a wide range of outcomes including:

• Increasing on-device or near real-time capabilities that deliver an improved operator experience and enable fast turn-around for certain use cases like storm response.
• Features to support robot reliability at scale such as development of additional logs and diagnostic capabilities.
• Optimization of our field to cloud data pipeline to support large base of end-users and faster turn-around times.
• Core robot software development experience including upgrades to our operating system and deployment of upgrades to the fleet.
• Support hardware evolutions and changes, such as integration of new sensors.
