Nubis Communications is a young startup developing disruptive high-speed, high-density and low-power optical transceivers for machine learning, AI and datacenter communications. Founded in 2020, we are based in the New York City Metropolitan Area and are undergoing terrific growth.

We have positions open for Software Engineers and are looking for talented people to come and join us.

In-Office location: New Providence, NJ

This will be a hybrid workplace position with 3 days on site work.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

· Design and Develop software for driving Photonic IC's

· Design and develop firmware for embedded microcontrollers

· Read board schematics and be comfortable working with digital circuits

· Work with Test and Measurement equipment as required

· Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices

· Collaborate with all other functional teams to understand the requirements of tests required

· Contribute to existing documentation and adapt content based on changing requirements

Your skills and experience

You have:

· Bachelor's or Master’s in electrical engineering, or equivalent practical work experience

· A strong understanding of OOP design and concepts

· 2 years of experience with software development of medium sized Python projects

· 2 years of experience with embedded microcontrollers and firmware in C/C++

· Experience using Software Configuration Management systems (git, perforce)

· Solid written communication and documentation skills
