Job summary

ClifyX is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Allen Park, MI, for a 12+ month contract. The role focuses on translating requirements into software architecture, developing embedded software, and validating functions in safety-critical automotive modules for OEM customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software development, preferably in safety-critical automotive applications
• Strong programming expertise in C, C++, and assembly language, with experience in scripting languages
• Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, including analog/digital circuits and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C)
• Familiarity with software development standards and processes such as ASPICE
• Knowledge of functional safety and related standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21448) and automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434) is highly desirable
• Experience controlling DC motors and stepper motors is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within North America

Scope of the Position: Embedded Software Engineer in Allen Park, MI.
