Job summary

Sports Attack, LLC is seeking an Embedded Software & Electronics Engineer to develop and refine software, firmware, and electronics for baseball and multi-sport pitching machines. You will focus on new software development, updates, HMI, app maintenance, and related electronics.

The role covers firmware in C/C++, motor control, and PCB design, with hands-on prototyping, validation, and collaboration with production. A strong background in embedded systems is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong embedded C/C++ on microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, STM32) and common interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, ADC).
• Experience with motor control and power electronics, and reading schematics with test equipment.
• Clear communication and teamwork with mechanical, production and quality teams.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools is a plus (Altium, KiCad, Eagle; Debian/Yocto is beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Software/Firmware Development: Develop and maintain software and embedded firmware (C/C++) for pitching machine controllers, remote controls, and user interfaces, including wireless or app connectivity where needed.
• Motor Control & Pitch Performance: Control and tune motor drives for wheel speed, pitch type, and consistent ball delivery.
• Electronics Design: Design and revise PCBs, wiring harnesses, and power electronics for AC-powered and battery-powered machines.
• Prototyping & Validation: Build and run test fixtures to validate speed accuracy, repeatability, and durability; analyze performance data; and resolve issues to meet quality standards.
• Documentation & Manufacturing Support: Maintain schematics, firmware release notes, and work instructions; support safety and compliance testing; collaborate with production and suppliers to move designs into manufacturing.
• Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot field returns and production issues, identify root causes, and drive improvements using data-driven decision-making.
