Embedded Software Developer (AUTOSAR / Telematics)
Contract Length: 6 Months

Location: 100% Remote
Travel Requirement: Initial 3-week onsite engagement in Romania (travel and accommodation fully funded by the client)
We are looking for experienced Embedded Software Developers to join an automotive software programme focused on ECU development, telematics, and connectivity solutions. The successful candidates will contribute to the development, integration, and validation of AUTOSAR-based software running within a mixed AUTOSAR and Embedded Linux environment.
This role is ideal for engineers with strong automotive embedded software experience who have worked within OEM or Tier-1 environments and are comfortable operating across the full ECU software stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate embedded software for automotive ECU platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain AUTOSAR Classic software components.
- Develop software across:
- Basic Software (BSW)
- Software Components (SWCs)
- Runtime Environment (RTE)
- Inter-OS-Application Communication (IOC)
- Application Layer
- Support ECU integration, debugging, and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain connectivity and communication software using CAN and Ethernet technologies.
- Contribute to telematics and connected vehicle functionality.
- Integrate and troubleshoot third-party software and hardware components.
- Work closely with system architects, integration teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Support software quality and compliance activities within automotive development processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
AUTOSAR Development
- Strong hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic Platform.
- Practical experience developing and integrating:
- BSW
- SWCs
- RTE
- IOC
- Application software
Embedded Software
- Strong Embedded C/C++ development experience.
- Experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto.
- Proven automotive ECU software development experience.
Connectivity & Networking
- Experience working with:
- CAN
- Ethernet
- Automotive connectivity stacks
Automotive Domain Experience
- Experience within an OEM or Tier-1 automotive supplier environment.
- Understanding of ECU integration and validation processes.
- Telematics experience, including exposure to:
- TCU systems
- Connectivity protocols
- eCall solutions (advantageous)
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Qualcomm automotive SoCs.
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity concepts:
- Experience working within ASPICE Level 2+ development environments.
- Familiarity with secure connectivity and connected vehicle architectures.
