Ultra Intelligence & Communications in Tampa, FL, seeks an Embedded Rust Software Engineer 2 for Ultra Cyber. You will develop embedded Rust software on security-critical platforms, convert C to Rust, and work in a collaborative team within a defense-focused program.

The role requires a US Government Secret Security Clearance, a relevant technical degree, and experience with embedded systems, ARM cores, and toolchains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years embedded software experience.
• Experience with C and Rust on embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded Rust software for security-critical platforms.
• Convert existing C code to Rust and perform design trades.
• Create SRS/IRS/ICD/SHDD engineering docs.
• Define unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Manage configuration for software items.
• Support Agile and Waterfall projects.
• Provide progress updates and improve processes.
• Stay current with new technologies and practices.
