Job summary

REV Robotics, located in Carrollton, TX, seeks an hands-on embedded systems engineer to design and build test fixtures and the software that drives them. You will work with software and hardware teams, using single-board computers to exercise devices under test and validate our robotics products.

You will own and improve the build systems for C, C++, and Java projects, automate builds, tests, and releases, and contribute to code reviews while collaborating across QA and product development to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux and embedded software development for devices both Linux and bare metal.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Python; Git and collaborative workflows.
• Ability to design and implement test fixtures and build systems (CMake/Gradle).
• Hands-on experience with single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test fixtures for robotics hardware and the software to run them.
• Develop fixture control software on single board computers running Linux.
• Develop embedded software on test devices to support instrumentation and debugging.
• Create, maintain, and improve build systems for C, C++, and Java projects.
• Automate build, test, and release workflows for rapid validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, product development, and QA to define test coverage.
• Analyze test results and fixture data to drive improvements.
• Participate in code reviews.
