Job summary

Clarapath Inc. in Westchester County, NY, is seeking a Software Controls Engineer to design, develop, and improve control systems and embedded software powering SectionStar and TrimStar Pro platforms.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable, scalable software that meets performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. You will develop architecture and control logic in C/C++, Python, and work on motion control, sensors, and

Qualifications

• Embedded software or control systems development for electromechanical products.
• Strong C/C++ programming experience.
• Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS.
• Experience with motion control for precision systems.
• Familiarity with sensors, motors, and industrial protocols.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Experience in medical devices or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for motion control systems.
• Collaborate with Electrical/Mechanical teams to integrate hardware and software.
• Develop software architecture and control logic in C/C++ and Python.
• Create software requirements, design specs, and verification protocols.
• Support testing, validation, and field deployment.
