ABB is seeking an Analytical R&D Manager to lead embedded software development on site in Bartlesville, OK. You will design, implement, test, and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and Linux-based products, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable features.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–3 years of embedded software experience, with C/C++ proficiency and US work authorization. Previous exposure to ARM platforms and RTOS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 1-3 years of embedded software development experience through industry, internships, or academic projects
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real‑time software concepts.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US permanently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for microcontrollers and Linux-based products.
• Implement and troubleshoot firmware, device interfaces, and communication protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable product features.
• Support software verification, debugging, and continuous product improvement.
• Maintain existing software and test infrastructure.
• Align with assigned lead (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.
• Demonstrate sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools.
