Job summary

Techtronic Industries is seeking an Electronic Circuit Designer to develop digital and analog control systems for power tools, with a focus on battery management hardware and firmware. You will design schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs, and contribute to verification and production documentation.

The role blends hands-on testing with theory, requires clear communication, and offers growth in a small engineering team. Occasional travel to Asia (up to 5%) is possible.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Internship and/or Co-Op experience.
• Knowledge in C programming language; some MCU programming experience.
• Comfortable testing hardware with standard test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies).
• Able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit schematics and PCB layouts, select components and generate BOMs.
• Develop firmware architecture and firmware for control systems.
• Create production testing documents and verification tests.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to stay informed of new technologies.
