Job summary

Techtronic Industries is seeking a Tool Integration Electrical Engineer I/II to drive embedded systems design for battery-powered outdoor tools. You will work on power electronics, motor control, sensors, and harnesses with cross-functional teams, and be onsite in Anderson, SC.

You will contribute to hardware development from schematic design through testing, while expanding firmware and ensuring regulatory compliance. A collaborative, fast-paced environment awaits with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 0.5–4 years of embedded electronics design with strong hardware skills.
• Experience with PCBA schematic/layout and circuit simulation software.
• Familiarity with embedded C development tools (IDEs, compilers, debuggers).
• Understanding of battery-powered tool architecture and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electronic component selection and design tradeoffs.
• Ability to drive projects, communicate progress, and manage deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally (Vietnam).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of senior engineers, execute hardware systems development for new cordless tools, including PCBA hardware and wiring.
• Support prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and demonstrations to cross-functional teams.
• Modify and expand embedded firmware for new product offerings.
• Use lab equipment to debug and develop designs.
• Conduct experiments and simulations, analyze data for conclusions.
• Create and amend test plans with cross-functional teams.
• Engage in trade-off discussions for new product development.
• Communicate progress and risk mitigation up the management chain.
