Job summary

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment seeks an electronic circuit designer to work on digital and analog control systems for power tools. You will design and verify hardware and firmware for control circuitry with emphasis on battery management systems, plus BOM creation and production test documentation.

You should be comfortable with hands-on testing, including oscilloscope and measurement equipment, and able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience via Internship/Co-Op appreciated.
• Proficient in C programming and firmware development.
• Familiar with hardware tests using scopes, multimeters, power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Develop circuit schematics and PCB layouts; select components and generate BOMs.
• Architect and develop firmware for control systems.
• Create production test documents and execute verification testing.
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams and communicate complex issues clearly.
• Travel to Asia typically 0% but up to 5% as needed.
